  Why is knowledge learned at universities useless at work for some people?   Some people say that they had to relearn everything when they get a job. Universities are supposed to provide most recent knowledge. But still many people have to relearn new knowledge.   Why is this happening?   The reason is that universities can only provide knowledge which is theories that have been proven.    If unproven, it cannot be knowledge and university cannot teach.   For example, when a company released a smartphone, it is proven to be working as smartphone which is knowledge.   University can teach the knowledge about the smartphone that is released (theorized).   If anything under development, university cannot teach because it is not proven to be working yet.    Companies strive by developing newer version.    However, students only learned proven knowledge that is the past.   And they rarely learn how to develop a new smartphone (new knowledge).    Thus, students have to learn ‘how to develop

  Emotions and brain development   There are two ways for the brain to processes information.    One is with emotions.    When you are in a room with candles lit and loving one waiting, you feel romantic. When someone nags you, you get annoyed and angry.   Processing information with the brain part that deals with emotions is common.    However, education is for learners to process information with logic.    Development of projects, solving problems etc. need to be based on reasoning and logical brain part needs to be developed for these activities.    Therefore, education is to develop logical thinking process rather than emotion.    Processing information with emotions is a common feature of animals’ brains because all animals with brains also process information with emotions.    Development of logical thinking process can hardly be expected once emotion kicked in.   If your day was full of moments of being annoyed, angry and even furious, it means that you lived the day with an ani

  What causes the competition?      You can't compete to market a smartphone without smartphone.    You can't compete in a car race without a car.    Competition occurs because there is the person who found or develop the knowledge such as a smartphone.   To lead the competition, new features have to be added.   In other words, creative thinking to develop or create new concept or product is the cause of competition.    Then, creative thinking to improve the concept or product leads the competition.    Thus, creative thinking is the tool to create a new world, market, and concepts as well as tools to win the competition.   By learning knowledge, you might be able to perform as you were told to.    But you could not be a leader because you don’t have anything new to use in competition.   If you want to be a leader, study to develop creative thinking.   -PonderEd, where creative thinking starts! -
