Are you controlling your brain? Or being controlled by the brain?

Are you controlling your brain? Or being controlled by the brain?

One of my students asked ‘why favorites change over time?’
I asked ‘what do you mean by the change?’ ‘do you mean like enjoying coffee which you didn’t when you were a child?’
The student goes ‘yes, something like that’.

Another student asked me ‘are we being controlled by our brain? Or are we controlling our brain?’
I asked ‘why did you ask that questions?’
The student says ‘because I am confused sometimes.’

So, I asked the first student – ‘was it you decided to change your favorites? Or your favorites just changed by itself?’
The student goes ‘it changed by itself.’

I asked the second student ‘Favorites changed without intention. What do you think that means?’

People think that they are the one controlling the brain.
But in fact, they are being controlled by the brain most of the time.
They want delicious food but they don’t know why.
They enjoy certain sports but they don’t know why.
They are happy traveling but they don’t know why.
They just do without realizing what makes them to do.

If you live life that is controlled by the brain, you will repeat lives of others like salmon which they live the same life of their parents that they never seen because the instinct has been built up for millions of millions of years for the most of humans.

Thus, if your life is controlled by the brain, your life will be predictable and there will be predators waiting for you.

If you want to live your life, you will have to use your brain to control the brain that is controlling you.
The brain controlling you is instinct.

In order for you to take control of your life, you will need to learn ‘how to use your brain’ and only place to find the method is from PonderEd.
